Tempo manifesto, chegou a hora!
Estou bem ciente das coisas que atesto
dizendo claramente que eu não presto,
que a ânsia do pecado me devora!

A velha prostituta que vai embora
me aponta o dedo num grotesco gesto:
Ela exige levar consigo o resto
que eu lhe devo e não paguei até agora!

Cerro os punhos, pois meu coração ora!
Fica aflito em sentimentos a esmo...
De tardio arrependimento chora!

Silêncio... Abro os olhos, olho lá fora!
Consegui! Na salvação eu me testo:
No nosso jardim te colho uma rosa!
